RELIEF
When disaster strikes, items like blankets, clothes, shelter, and other basic necessities are essential in helping communities repair after both man-made and natural disasters. Through gifts from our donors and partners, we are able to come alongside those serving in their communities and distribute these basic items. In many ways, these items can help prevent further damage—a mosquito net prevents diseases like malaria and dengue, a blanket can provide warmth and protection from the elements, and food assistance allows the individual’s own resources go further.
As part of our relief efforts we distribute food, clothing, mosquito nets, blankets, and tarps to Internally Displaced People and refugees in camps across the Horn of Africa. We have also helped victims after fires, floods, and famine.
